Yes, Suede lamination film is tear resistant and protects the colors (especially dark colors) from rubbing off the edge of the paper. Suede film also makes the final business card thicker.

The paper stock ultimately determines how durable the entire piece becomes, but it may naturally chip away if the cards are stored improperly.

[+] How do you paint the edge of the card?
After printing the text and graphics, the materials are cut down to their finished size. The cards are stacked onto a padding press and compressed, giving a tight space between each card. They are then painted using a brayer roller. The finished effect gives a glamorous style to the edge of your cards, helping them stand out from the crowd. Our cards can even paint the edges with foils and metallic colors. These colorful additions make your cards incredible, with a luxurious look and finish. Opt for the heaviest, thickest card stocks for the best edge painting finish.
