Climate of Art & Sciences
The logo symbolizes the connection of the melting ice glaciers in the Arctic with the rising water levels in Florida. Victoria Zade is so passionate about climate change that she gave her work to Miami-Dade county for free, hoping it would become public property.
The logotype consists of the font Gotham Light with a custom-made ampersand (&) by Victoria Zade. The graphic is a blue dot, representing ice water and our planet. The blue utilizes negative space to reveal a polar bear which embodies the victims of the Arctic’s changing climate. The polar bear casts a black shadow in the shape of the state of Florida, illustrating the relation between the melting of the polar ice caps with Florida’s rising sea levels.

One Clothing for All, at the time of conception, was the first children’s clothing line that’s inclusive of gender, race, and people who are differently-abled. The goal is to reflect the wide spectrum of people all over the world from different walks of life and protect our childhood dream: to be anything we want to be.
The logo represents a common childhood symbol—the teddy bear.
Like the packaging’s message says, “One Bear does not judge from appearances or tell you who you are. No eyes, no mouth, only ears for listening.”
In the height of our modern cultural shift, it’s important now more than ever to launch unisex brands for children and inspire inclusivity for the days ahead.
These photos feature the packaging prototype I created for the brand. The clothing box’s design is One Clothing’s Bear brought to life. The bear logo was transformed into the packaging design by adding simple inserts at the top, which represented the bear’s ears.

Challenge
Real estate investment group Apollo Rising supplied the image of a modern home concept. The challenge was to use this image as inspiration for the logomark, while emphasizing the distinction that it is an investment group, rather than a real estate brokerage.
Design Execution
The gold with a touch of black conveys a highly professional image, using the golden color as both a symbol for the rising sun as well as gold currency for investing. Refined, fiduciary, corporate.
This children’s book is a personal project of mine. I began writing the story in 2014 but began conceptualizing the idea behind it as a child. I took my time in university as an opportunity to bring this idea to life, and now it is undergoing refinement.

VALSAN Inc. Logo Redesign by Victoria Zade
—
Work commissioned through Fantasea Media
• Logo Redesign
• Business Card Design
• Monthly Product Page Design
• Directional Store Signage
• Outdoor Building Signage
Challenge
Rebrand the 1984 VALSAN logo for the modern day, without changing the colors too much from the original.
Background
VALSAN owner, Ruben Sanchez, had 3 children, who later grew to work in the family business and expand the retail store to 7 chain locations in South Florida. With the help and support of his wife and three daughters, Valdes was able to grow his business from a strip mall kiosk to over 150,000 square feet of retail space. There now are VALSAN locations in Flamingo, Perrine, Kendall, Westchester, Flagler, Hialeah, Miami, and next to the Miami International Airport.
Execution
The redesign aimed to subdue the immense saturation of the original logo as well as the commonality of the font choice. The most recognizable element (the “V”) was emphasized to be adapted to outputs such as attention-grabbing outdoor retail signage, packaging, and the VALSAN website’s favicon.
Logo Icon
The original logo depicts a white knock-out “V” within 3 circles of color. The circles are modernized into spheres, using a trending gradient that supports the newly emphasized “V.” Each sphere represents a member of the founding family.
Logotype
The original logo uses Arial Black, and the new logo uses Gotham Black. The new logo also incorporates their slogan, which translates to “Those who come, never leave!”
Colors
Each color has been modified slightly to improve visibility on mobile and desktop devices.
Logo Redesign for Full Circle Farm Sanctuary
Challenge
New logo for FCFS that quickly draws viewers in with some element of the 175+ rescued farm animals living at the sanctuary. Ensure readability of the farm’s long name without overpowering the image. Ideally, someone would want to buy a T-shirt with the logo even without knowing what FCFS is.
Design Execution
When I set out to exploring prototypes for the FCFS logo, I wanted to find real, individual animals whose lives were impacted the most by the sanctuary. At first, the concepts were using a group of animals, or highly recognizable ones. With a little digging I found some history and learned who were the first animals of FCFS. When I proposed that we use their image and likeness for the logo, they loved the idea. That was when it became more than just a stylish logo, but an emotionally connected representation that truly conveyed who they are to the world.
The final logo design combines imagery of the first three animals that the founder of FCFS adopted, Zephyr the pygmy goat, Noah the rooster, and Penny the pig walking around the globe.

Develop a modern, sweet brand to fit the owner Kayla’s downtown storefront where she sells cookies that hit that sweet spot! Position the brand for both consumer sales and cookie decorating classes.
Brand Adjectives: Unique, Modern, Feminine, Bold
Design Execution
Bold heading typeface paired with a feminine script makes the primary mark for this brand, and a modern icon serves as the secondary logo mark. The secondary logo mark can be animated and transformed in unlimited ways, making this brand a liquid identity that is extremely fluid and adaptable to any output.
I worked with The Brief Collective to create this branding.

Angie Varona Interview
This is my 2011 interview with Angie Varona, a Miami teen who fell victim to an online hacking of personal photos that changed her life forever.
I interviewed young Miss Varona and her father for an intimate glance at the troubles she experienced as a teen turned Internet sex symbol. My opportunity to get to know her and her family will always be appreciated, as it gave young generations the necessary warning of the dangers that the Internet can bring.
Thank you to Miami Montage for helping me gain this experience as a young aspiring journalist. This background has helped me in later endeavors with design; when it involves extracting the vision behind the business, I have used interviewing techniques that I learned from this journalism program.

SchaperMedia needed to build their brand as a high-end video production company. They required simple, modern graphics for their social media platforms to convey a universal tone across the board. They weren’t quite happy with the original layout of their logo, and I offered consultation as well as fast turnaround on clean, professional graphic design.
Design Execution
They commissioned me to redesign their logo to an alternative layout, as well as create digital banners for the Facebook and YouTube platforms for SchaperMedia. My design adhered to the vision they expressed, as well as any limitations on budget or deadline. They received expedited service for immediate turnaround.

This project includes branding and concept design for Open Cluster Clothing. Guests come for all-natural organic products and apparel. The brand promotes sustainable fashion production and environmentally-friendly practices for both human bodies and nature.
Goal
Design for a brand that offers luxurious fashion styling & organic clothing options from non-toxic materials.
Challenge
Balance the brand’s appeal to the every day progressive young adult, and those in image-based industries like models, influencers who would find Open Cluster Clothing to be “on brand.” Combine an organic & natural aesthetic with the chic high standards of modern fashion.
Design Execution
The brand name “Open Cluster Clothing” refers to the type of star cluster made of up of a few thousand stars—these are called Open Clusters.
The abstract shape and formation of this cosmic atmosphere makes up the iconography for this logo, as well as subtly making the initials OCC with stylistic gaps of white space in the icon.
Custom pattern design was created with the “bends” of spacetime in mind. This minimalist design can also be interpreted as an indicator of the shape(s) of the human body, as well as everything in between.
Target audience: International fashion designers striving to build their brand and connect with studios who offer sustainable practices.

Logo Design for Kuban Keto Kitchen “Keto with a Kuban Twist!” — Work commissioned through Fantasea Media
• Logo Design
• Business Card Design
• Collateral Design
• Promo Sticker Setup
Background
The owner Rosie is a Cuban born American with a passion for the keto diet, but not for the reasons that some would expect. She shared with me the details of her mother coming down with cancer, and that is when she found that the keto diet was the most helpful to her mother’s battle. Because her mom only liked traditional Cuban cuisine, Rosie learned how to transform classic recipes so that they can meet the limitations of the keto diet. This helped her mother overcome cancer, and Kuban Keto Kitchen was born.
Challenge
Embody classic Cuban cuisine, or Cuban heritage, with the essence of cooking. Ensure that the healthiness of the food is apparent, without it appearing too much about diets.
Design Execution
With a heart-shaped egg to symbolize “feel good” food that is actually good for your body and heart, the fried egg also represents a quick and classic Cuban delight. The frying pan represents cooking, with the Cuban country as the handle of the pan. Every Cuban-born person that sees this logomark feels instantly connected to the brand.
The business cards are thick statement with raised gold foil touches and a velvet suede finish. My recommendation was to swap the orange for gold, taking the appetizing portion of the logo and representing it with chic class. The owner loves her cards and is in the progress of expanding her business to re-enforce this aspect of her brand across all printed materials.
My recommendation for clear vinyl stickers was not possible with the print vendor. The stickers were printed by Fantasea Media.

My partner Lauren Konopacki sketched the planet Earth in a snowglobe while I created photo collages used as the background to illustrate the story of the man-made actions done to our planet. These actions (mass production of clothing, food) are increasing the temperature of our environment—the campaign literally depicts why “It’s getting hot in here.”
